One of the goals at OACHC is to fully integrate Oral Health with Primary Care by having our dental centers incorporate blood pressure screenings into their daily routines. As a partner in patient-centered care, screening patients for hypertension is an important service that oral health professionals can provide for their patients. Taking a patient’s blood pressure in the dental chair is easily done while educating the patient on the risks and appropriately referring them to their physician.
